What we believe

Convictions wereturn to.

Scripture Sparks Fellowship is a non-denominational, Christ-centered fellowship. These are the truths our gatherings, our teaching and our prayers are built on \u2014 held simply, and held together.

01
The Bible

We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God — trustworthy, authoritative, and living. It is not merely a record of what God once said, but the means by which He still speaks, teaches, corrects and forms His people today.

2 Timothy 3:16–17

02
God

We believe in one God, eternal and unchanging, who exists as Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He is holy, sovereign and good, and He made us to know Him.

Deuteronomy 6:4

03
Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully man. He lived without sin, died on the cross for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, and is alive today.

John 1:14

04
Salvation

We believe salvation is God's gift, received by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, and never earned by our own effort. It is offered freely to everyone who turns to Him.

Ephesians 2:8–9

05
The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit dwells in every believer — bringing conviction, comfort and understanding of Scripture, and producing the character of Christ over a lifetime.

John 14:26

06
Prayer

We believe prayer is real communication with a God who listens. It is how faith is strengthened, how burdens are carried together, and how dependence upon God is learned.

Philippians 4:6–7

07
The Church

We believe the church is not a building but a people — gathered to worship, to hear the Word, to pray, and to build one another up in faith and love.

Hebrews 10:24–25

08
Christian Life

We believe faith is meant to shape ordinary life: how we speak, forgive, work, love our families and treat our neighbours. Growth is the steady work of a lifetime, not a single moment.

James 1:22

09
Eternal Hope

We believe Jesus Christ will return, that God will make all things new, and that those who are in Christ have a hope that death does not end.

Revelation 21:5

Questions about any of this are welcome — they are usually the beginning of something good. Ask us anything.
